Maxx, Maxx, it sounds so familiar. Oh yeah, that show I saw one time when I stayed up way too late. The little introductory bit was interesting ("In his dreams he is the consort of the mighty jungle Jane", or whatever) but then the show was just about some freaky kid and her lazy mom. There was probably some deep inner meaning but I fell asleep before I could figure it out... er, yeah.
